DRAFT for solicitor review. Not legal advice. Items marked to confirm still need your details.

Terms

Version 1, 4 November 2026. These terms are between you ("you") and Tamar Designs, a sole trader trading as tamar.digital ("we", "us"), owned by Stanley Keighley, of 16 Hay Crescent, Launceston, Cornwall, PL15 9GW. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices.

1. What we do

We buy domain names for you, host websites and design websites. Which of these you are getting is agreed with you in writing (for example by email) before you pay. Those details, together with these terms, make up your agreement.

2. Requests, quotes and payment

Sending a request through our website does not buy anything and does not commit you or us. We normally reply within 2 hours. The prices shown on the site are a guide: we reply with the final price and what is included, and the yearly renewal price may change. The agreement starts when you accept our quote and pay.

You can pay by card or Direct Debit. Domains and website start-up design are paid for before we buy the domain or start work. The monthly hosting and care plan is paid each month by card or Direct Debit.

3. Domain names

You will be the registrant. We register the domain in your details, so you are its registrant (its legal holder) from the start. If the domain is for a business, the business should be the registrant. We email you the registration details once the domain is registered. A domain is not property you own outright: it is a registration that lasts only while it is renewed and the rules of the registry are followed.

We are not a registrar. Domains we buy are registered through Porkbun LLC, an ICANN-accredited registrar (porkbun.com), and its terms apply to the registration. You can find the sponsoring registrar of any domain at lookup.icann.org.

Accurate details. You must give us complete and accurate contact details and tell us promptly if they change. False or out-of-date details can lead to a domain being suspended or cancelled without refund. Some extensions have extra rules (for example Nominet's rules for .uk domains), and we will tell you if they affect you.

Public data. Registry and registrar rules may require some details to be held in, or shown through, the public WHOIS/RDDS system, although personal data is often hidden. What is shown depends on the extension and the registrar, and we can tell you what is shown for your domain.

Renewal. A domain expires at the end of the period paid for. We email you the renewal price 60 days before it renews, again 30 days before, and again a week before, and ask you to confirm each time. We renew a domain only once you have confirmed and paid. If we do not hear from you it may expire, and after expiry the domain may stop working and may be released for others to register. Renewal prices can change: the price in each reminder is the price you pay.

Transfers. You can ask to move your domain to another provider, subject to the ICANN transfer policy and registry rules (typically a domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of first registration). to confirm any fee for this. We will not unreasonably refuse a valid request.

Misuse and disputes. You must not use a domain unlawfully or in a way that infringes anyone's rights, including trademarks. You confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, your chosen name does not infringe anyone's rights. Disputes may be decided under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) or the registry's own procedure (for .uk, Nominet's Dispute Resolution Service). If someone gives us reasonable evidence that your domain is causing actionable harm, we may have to disclose your identity and contact details to them within seven days.

Your rights as a registrant.

4. Hosting

Our hosting and care plan costs £12.99 a month. It covers keeping your website online and looked after, including maintenance and small improvements. Bigger improvements are quoted separately at £90 each time. to confirm What hosting includes in detail (storage, email, backups, uptime), any minimum term and fair use, how you can take your website with you if you leave, and what happens if you stop paying.

5. Web design

Website start-up design costs £129, paid once before we start. After your site is live, small changes are covered by the monthly plan and bigger improvements are £90 each time. to confirm What the start-up design includes (pages, features, number of revisions), timescales, what we need from you (text, images, logo), who owns the finished design and content (and any licences for fonts, images and software), and how you approve the work.

6. Cancelling

If you are a consumer, UK law gives you 14 days from agreeing to our services to cancel them. You can cancel by emailing us. If you ask us to register a domain or start work within those 14 days, you will pay for what we have already done, and once a domain is registered or work is fully completed you can no longer cancel under this right (we will ask you to confirm this before we start). Fees paid to the registrar for a domain that has been registered cannot be refunded.

You can cancel the monthly hosting and care plan at any time by emailing us. It ends at the end of the month you have paid for, and we do not refund part months. Business customers do not have the 14-day statutory right, but the monthly plan can be cancelled in the same way. to confirm Solicitor to check this section.

7. Our liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Otherwise we are not responsible for the actions of registries, registrars or other third parties, for loss caused by events outside our control, or for indirect or business losses, and our total liability to you for any one matter is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. to confirm Solicitor to check this section, especially for consumers.

8. Changes, contact and law

Registries, ICANN and our registrar can change their rules, and we may need to update these terms to match. We will tell you about important changes by email, normally at least 30 days before they apply.
